2012-Mar-03 Saturday Youth Night with Coach Tao

2012-May-19 Saturday Youth Night with 28 months old Wang Han from China (facially burned)

Wang Han 王涵 (also called Han Han) recently just arrived here from DaLiang China last week, along with her father Wang QingLe 王慶樂 for a laser surgery treatment in Shriner Hospital Boston.  We thank the host family, Thomas & Serina Yen, for bringing them to our TTOF potluck dinner to introduce them to TTOF families. One of the families, Robert Page who just came and joined us for the first time are so moved and touched that they donate their car seat and stroller right at the meeting. We pray that Han Han and her father experience the love of God throughout this ordeal and bring the gospel of Christ back to their home community in the future.

The accident happened on 2010 October 16th, the child was about 10 months old, in her walker at her grandparent’s house when she accidentally pulled the heating coil’s cord that was in the thermos flask. The whole flask of boiling water then was pulled and poured over her from head on down. Because the grandma was so shocked by the incident the child was soaked in her clothes for over 2 ½ hours before the help came along. That resulted in her scorching areas and degrees of burn.

The family are living in village.  For the immediate financial needs, they sold the father’s little house for 30,000RMB to pay for the medical bills. Because the child needs her father’s attention 24/7, he quits from his work in a small grocery / restaurant shop to care for her. And they live from the income of her grandpa who is a street sweeper that makes 1000-1500 RMB (equivalent to may be 250$) a month.

The doctors in the hospital did not give too much hope to the survival of this child, but God has His plan on her and her family’s life. That is when one of the church ministries, along with the host family and our fellowship groups, came into the picture to provide any necessary help, either prayers, support and/or financial needs.
