Welcome to TTOF (Table Tennis Outreach Fellowship) which is a group that is affiliated with the Outreach Ministry of CBCGB (Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston) at Lexington, MA.

History and Background:

TTOF was founded in May of 2008 with the idea of forming a Table Tennis ministry where the members of different fellowship groups of CBCGB come together playing table tennis and getting to know each other, along with the opportunity of outreach to other family members and friends.

The mission and goals are:

(1)   To promote the fellowship between members of different groups within CBCGB, and

(2)   To reach out to other family members, friends and any non-believers outside the church.

In July, a small group of 4 to 6 people started playing on Thursday nights in the basement of the church using the two used tables left over from the previous Chinese School.

By early September 2008, two new tables arrived after the fund was approved by the Board of Deacons. By early October the official announcement was made and two coordinators appointed.

As the Thursday night session starts to get crowded, we extended the schedule by adding Saturday night with family potluck dinner from 5pm to 10pm.The goal of the family potluck dinner is to bring the players and friends to sit down together for about one hour during the table tennis games and get acquainted well with each other.

As of Jan 2012, we are currently operating with 9 tables for games and practice, and one robot station for coaching and training.

TTOF welcomes anyone who likes to join the group. We encourage individuals to reach out and bring their family members and friends.

Membership:

TTOF is NOT a club or a professional league with any fee (e.g. membership fee). Any new comers from anywhere are welcome to our group.

Fund Raising:

Any ongoing expense for maintenance and equipment comes from free-will offering and donation from the church members. During each meeting, a donation box will be placed to collect the offering. You can either make the check payable to either CBCGB or Treasurer of TTOF with the memo: TTOF expense. Checks payable to CBCGB can be tax deductible but checks payable to TTOF Treasurer will not. The checks made payable to CBCGB will be designated to general fund and will be used for all church activities. If you wish your donation to be used specifically for TTOF expense, please write your check payable to Rudolph Cheung who is the current Treasurer of TTOF.

Waiver of Liability and Release:

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the TTOF (Table Tennis Outreach Fellowship) program, TTOF requires you, in full recognition and appreciation of the dangers and risks inherent in such activities, to waive, release, and forever discharge CBCGB, its officers, agents and employees, from and against any and all claims, demands, action or causes of action for costs, expenses or damages to personal property or personal injury, or death, which may result from your participation in these activities.

You understand and admit that your participation in TTOF at CBCGB is voluntary. You assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages resulting from your participation in this program including responsibility for using reasonable judgment in all phases of participation of the program and travel to and from your location. You recognize and understand that the activities may be hazardous, that your participation is solely at your own risk, and that you assume full responsibility for any resulting injuries and damages.
